Default 95 Accord Heater Blower runs on after key is out

Hey guys, just this morning I got into my car just to find that my battery is copletely drained. The problem that I have noticed after jumping my car and charging the battery is that my Heater Blower still runs after the key is out of ignition. If i turn it to Off position the lights on heater panel still stay on. Anyone had a problem like that in the past or heard of it?

My first thought is to check the fuse, then move on to the wiring for it. You may need to pull the fuse or wiring until you figure it out so that you dont drain the battery again.

forget the fuse, if its blown replace it, but that is not the problem, because if the fuse is blown for the fan then it wouldn't run at all. move on to checking the relay or the switch something is sticking or touching in them that is not supposed to, or perhaps some crossed wires somewhere

Two possible problems:

1. A broken heater switch **** so you can not turn it off. and/or
2. A malfunction blower motor relay.

Pull out the heater switch **** to check if it is broken and if the switch is not at the off position.
Pull out the blower motor relay to test if connector 1 and 3 is connected even no power on 2 and 4. If connected, you need to change the relay. The relay is located in the under-dash fuse box.

My first logical thought was that ignition switch (electric) worn out so I bought one. Checked the fuses, they were all fine. Opened up the column checked for loose wiring none. Btw I didnt mention earlier, I have Glow Gages installed bout a year ago, did it myself. Never had problems, except the RPM needle was sticking at bit at first. So I started pulling on the wires (key out) to see if lights on heater control will flash on/off, still stayd on. So I said fk it, replaced the ignition swith. Had fun times of getting it out with a bracket in the way, so I "modified" it a bit to the left. Connected the battery, same thing! So by that time Im already pissed off. Then all of a sudden lights go off and stay off, then came back on, then opff again. Battery was dead this morning. Jumped it, drove to work. Shut the car off, lights are off. So im "hoping" the problem fixed itself somehow. Its a short for a fact. But how do I locate it? I hate knowing that smething is wrong with a car and I dont like putting things aside. I never thought of the switch **** going bad, cuz I can turn it to OFF position and it would stop blowing but the air flow possition indicator lights would stay on and the power should be cut off way before the switch. If any other suggestions guys let me know. I know its "fixed" right now but Im sure it'll happen again.
