94 accord tail light disassembly; I need help!
Okay so I plan on tinting my tail lights with that R/C tint spray but I've got a slight dilema; I have the tail light housing sitting next to me removed from the car but I can't figure out how to get the lens part apart from the black backing.... Is it glued? Do I need to stick it in the oven for a couple minutes to heat up the glue so it will split apart?
Please I need answers as soon as possible, thank you for your time!

If all you're doing is spraying it, just spray the outside, I looked at them myself, I think it's a combination of glue and clips holding them together, so a bit harder than the headlights.
You're best bet is to just spray the outside or get lamin-x and apply it to the outside.

Re: (R1C3Rxs)
yeah so I ended up just spraying the outside, I put one in the oven and tried to heat up the glue so I could undo the clips but it just wouldnt go and I ended up chiping the light and on that light it actually didnt turn out very well at all so I sanded it down and sprayed it again and the same thing happened, I think it has something to do with heating it up but oh well Im gonna go to the salvage yard this weekend and get one of the lights and spray it so it will look better...
thanks for the help guys!
and by the way Muffin Man I think everything Ive posted ever in this forum youve replied to, and gave your two cents, and you always have great info! Thank man! haha

you don't crack open tail lights but if you want to, you do it slow, take your time with a hair dryer and just keep heating the edges. But with a spray can you just spray the outside layer by layer 2mins in between. Putting it in the oven isn't such a good idea. i did mine that way. i just sprayed the outside. Same goes with headlamps but thats only if you're smoking it. don't spray the outside of the headlamps! but it was good to get your feet wet.
