92 Honda Accord EX will not shift into 4th gear?
So i have a 1992 Honda Accord EX automatic. Everything was running fine until a couple days ago while i was driving on the freeway, I noticed a small jerk coming from the engine. All while driving at high speed anywhere from 60mph+.. I started to watch the RPM and noticed it kept jumping about half an RPM then coming back down. Feeling like its trying to shift into 4th gear but its not allowing itself to. Causing a small slippage. Everything in the car is running smoothly. No check engine light. When i drive on just D3 the theres no jerk from the tranny. What could it be? Spark plugs? Please help. Thanks in advance!!!

That is quite a difference. Do you actually feel the engine rev or is it just the tachometer jumping up and down.

Yes i can feel the engine rev. However there's no CEL or blinking D4 light. Other than the reving the car runs smooth. Just don't understand what it could be.

Could also be the shift control valve. I went the TCU route and it worked for a while then back to shift problems. Had some capacitors / resistors replaced on it. Also you can pull the radio and ECM fuses and put them back in. This may allow it to run smoothly for a while. They are in the engine compartment
