92 accord running issue
I bought my buddies accord last week to daily. IT had a really bad idle surge so i replaced the intake manifold gaskets. After that i finished the fuel pump just went out. I dropped the tank the next day and replaced the fuel pump. The vehicle now runs and idles. No idle surge but when i drive the car when it hits 2k rpms its starts jerking and cutting out. The CEL starts flashing then stays on. I tried reading the code but its not storing to where i can read it. Even if the cars in neutral it won rev over 2k rpms.
Any ideas?

Re: 92 accord running issue
Yes the timing is correct. It does it in every gear starting about 2k rpms... I check the alternator and its putting out 13.8 volts. Replaced fuel pump and fuel filter. Everything is plugged in and it idles good. Just like its hitting fuel cut and starts back firing.

It would be good to check fuel pressure. Make sure you have no vacuum leaks anywhere else. It could be a clogged fuel filter, or fuel pressure regulator. I would start with that and see what you find
