code 43? fuel system
Ok, I just picked up a mint 91 integra with 200k on it. While driving today code 43 popped up, what does this mean? bad fuel pump? bad regulator? I have also noticed that while accelerating there is a slight surge, like it is getting enough gas, then starving for gas. Any help would be appreciated.
had the same thing on mine.. replaced the fpr. and it was gone. butt it might be a few things... start from there and check ur way back to the fuel pump
check fuel pressure. if its low or high replace oviouslly. check the 02 sensor voltage at idle after warmed up if its above .6 volts at idle replace it. or when you snap throttle if its below .4 replace it. if thats good swap ecu's. oviouslly if its bad fuel (old) it could also have a problem but it would more than likly misfire. but don't rule it out.
It was the oxygen sensor, looks like the original one had had it after 200k miles. Replaced it last night, reset the ecu and the car is running perfect again. Thanks for the suggestions guys
