OK, so I bought this car for nothing a month ago, I've fixed many major problems, and now I'm working on the minors.

Whenever the key is turned to 1 2 or running, the running lights come on, even if the headlight switch is completely off!

Is this something someone would have done on purpose? Is this a sign of a bad switch somewhere? Anyone seen this before? Where should I start looking?

A common problem that causes the parking lights to remain on is the ICU. Although it is possible someone wired it that way. Youre gonna have to follow a wiring diagram and ensure the lights are wired correctly.

Here is something else I've noticed: With the ignition all the way off, the stereo will stay on if the headlights are still on. Turn the headlights off, and the stereo goes off.

Someone has jacked up your wiring. As suggested above, get a wiring schematic and go from there.

I have a wiring schematic, I know the wiring is jacked, not much time to work on cars, looking for advice to save me some time(in case this is a common problem), hence the thread looking for said advice. And actual leads is all I'm looking for.
