1999 Accord power locks - need help
My wife has a 1999 honda accord lx and all four power locks do not work. I highly doubt that all four actuators went out all at the same time. They cost a pretty penny too 100 bucks a pop. I checked all the fuses and they are good. However when you push the lock or unlock you can hear a clicking noise come from the passenger side fuse box, like a switch is being tripped or something. The locks sound like they want to work. Any help will be appreciate. I did search and found out ways to repair the actuators if they are bad but I dont think that is the problem. Thanks in advance.

Touch the locks as you try to lock / unlock them, see if they "jiggle". If so, I'm in the same boat.
I just lock / unlock the doors manually at this point, though when I unlock the passenger side the driver's side has enough juice to unlock (but not vice versa).

The actuators are common to go out on that year/model. Had to get all 4 replaced on my 99 accord, not all at same time though. And the actuators are not $100 each, I just finished doing 3 of those on friends accord and the ones for rear were like $35 and front are $40 or something similar. Look around at honda online parts stores. Rears take about 15 minutes to do each, but the fronts are a little tricky.

But if it was the actuators whats up with the clicking noise by the fuse box? It reminds me of when a circuit breaker. Does anyone know if there is one under there?

Did you ever figure this out on your locks? I have the same problem - remote quit working, and the locks make a sound when I hit the button inside and sometimes they move a little but that's it. Luckily I haven't locked my keys in...yet. lol

naw I have not figured it out yet. I have not gotten around to purchasing actuators to see if that indeed is the case. Let me know if you figure yours out.
