1990 Accord EX clutch system
The hose that feeds from the reseviour to the clutch master cylinder needs to be replaced on my Accord. What type of hose can I buy from the local auto supply will stand up to the brake fluid that sits in this hose. Thanks in advance for your help, Randy.

Randy, you will have to be careful here.
Honda's use brake fluid for both the Clutch and Brake Systems.

From the Service Manual:
Always use Honda Heavy Duty Brake Fluid DOT 3.
If it is not available, you should use only DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluid, from a sealed container, as a temporary replacement.
Using any non-Honda brake fluid can cause corrosion and decrease the lifeof the system.
Have the brake system flushed and refilled with Honda Heavy Duty Brake Fluid DOT 3 as soon as possible.
Brake fluid marked DOT 5 is not compatible with your vehicle’s braking system and can cause extensive damage.
Hoses made to handle gas (petrolium) will swell and deteriorate if exposed to brake fluid.
Ask for the correct type.

Re: 1990 Accord EX clutch system
Thanks to you guys for your input. I did contact my local dealership and they want $22 for this hose. It is less than 2 ft long and 1/4" id. That just seems a little outrageous to me. I was hoping someone could name a type of replacement hose I could buy from a stock roll at the local auto parts for 1 or 2 dollars per foot. I am well aware of the problems brake fluid creates for many types of rubber and that is why I sought advise from the "pros" here on Honda Tech.
