Default 00 accord heat problem

So my problem is my car is not heating up properly.

I live in Wisconsin and it's getting colder

what is happening is:
My car will blow warm air but not hot enough to be comfortable.

My Temperature gauge will raise slowly with it on 2, but once I change the fan speed to 3 or 4 the needle will slowly move towards cold. I would have to be going 80 for the needle to stay half way. I can't go 80 all the time.

I have tried to bleed the cooling system that did not help.

any ideas?

sorry if you have a problem reading I am really tired and sick.

I am thinking that the thermostat is stuck open, which would cause the coolant to always be cooling. I do not know if it is possible for the radiator fan to be stuck 'on'. Somehow, your coolant is being cooled too much.

If you are buying a thermostat, I highly recommend going with genuine Honda. The difference between the aftermarket and the Honda one is amazing. The Honda one is designed to failed stuck open, which allows your car to run too cool, rather than running hot when it fails. The thermostat is really easy to change.

I am not sure about the part numbers for the different engines. Find the car each engine came in, and then check the thermostat part number on: http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/

Thermostats operate pretty much the same on most cars though, so if its failed, the type of engine doesnt really matter, other than you need to get the correct thermostat for the engine.
