I have a 88 civic lx sedan I just got a stock k24 and I want to make a drag car out of it what would I have to do to push like 550+ horsepower?

not enough depending on how serious you are. you can find a used straight cut trans for around $8k, so that's half your budget right there. new, it's around $10k. now, you'd want to go ahead and sleeve which is like $1200. you don't have to, but you are making a drag car, so having a bullet proof engine and trans is needed. dunno how much it is to install. see how that $16k doesn't look like of money now
