Re: DA Integra's Only
i just cant figure out why it will not start. is it just the eg that you use the gsr harness with. anybody have any ideas of why it wont start. im about to do a compression test to make sure thats not the problem. the motor sat for 2 1/2 years before we pulled it out of the car and then put it in here. i also think that the headgasket might be bad cause i keep having this coolant spot show up after a little bit and it looks like its coming from the front of the motor at the hg.
It doesn't sound like injector wiring is your issue.
Are you sure that the combustion chamber is not getting sufficient fuel? What about spark?

yes. In my EG i have a 2001 GSR engine harness. That is what it's like owning an EG. When you have a DA, nothing cool is plug-and-play.

ok so the car doesnt have the resistor box but here is what my issue is. the car will just start up for a split second on every 3 key turns. i am getting spark and fuel to the fuelrail at the first nut. i have an obd2 gsr harness and from what im reading i need to use this but is this the only way? i didnt know that i could just use it so i stole plugs from it like oil pressure plug, big dizzy plug, vtec, and knock plugs, and the injector plugs. i would like to run the obd2 injectors but i was also reading it just not that simple. i need to know if i should just put the gsr harness back together? it would take me about an hour or 2 but do i really need to do this. any insight on all of this would be greatly appreciate it.
here is my set up:
00' si b16 which is obd2 my car is a 92' RS (all plugs in b16 are still obd2, motor has 56k)
obd1 b16 intake mani with spoon ventuli plate
obd2 tb with map sensor on the top of it
p28 ecu chipped
obd1 LS injectors so still have wire clip plugs obd2 fuelrail
fpr with guage reading 36lbs
obd2 big dizzy plug
obd1 LS wiring harness
obd0 LS iacv
new bosch plat plugs
oem plug wires
obd1 alternator
fuel filter was fine when i took it out of my grey da.

Re: DA Integra's Only
well if you have fuel, and spark, then you probably have an issue with air, timing or compression...
couple questions. First, when the engine runs for a split second are you able to keep it running by hitting the gas pedal? Second, does the B16 throttle body have a FITV on the bottom?

i just had a thought a few moments ago. this motor was in a really bad accident about 2.5 years ago. the car hit a tree sideways at 100mph and it ended up upside down for a brief moment before it fliped back over onto its wheel again. now what led me to this theory was that the plugs were completely white when i pulled them and the rad was cracked. maybe the car ran dry for a min or 2 before it shut off.
my brother was the one driving and he said he woke up in the pass seat and crawled out of the car. he was out when he landed so he doesnt know how much time passed before he woke up so we assume he didnt shut the car off himself. this might explain the coolant on the corner of the head. i didnt do the compresion test today cause i worked late and im tired to be honest. when i get done tomorrow if i dont have to work at night i will do it. that should tell me something.
heres the car it came out of. my brother walked away without a scratch. dont drink and drive!!! the guy in the back was coving his head from the rain.

Damn...that sucks! Good to hear he was alright though.

To pre load the drivetrain you hold the e brake put it in first reeve it to like 2-3 k hold that let the clutch out to where it grabs but slips. At this point the drivetrain is preloaded, this prevents the harsh clutch drop and the stress of that on the axles and trans. More grip also.

Yea, i'm just gonna keep dumping my clutch like I've been doing since I learned how to drive. I rarely ever do it anyway unless I make videos like this. I have launch control but I do 40 rolls lol

Sup guys! Just another update.
Yesterday turned out to be a pretty nice day in Seattle so we did some rolling shots of my newly acquired NT03's. Here we are!
