a3 indeed. h2 allows kswaps? or only this particular swap? im not familiar with hc rules.
my buddy told me to look into motoiq. he said something about the power-to-weight categories. 1:12 and 1:8 something like that. tires, motor and suspension setup is unlimited

I'm actually not sure if it would fly any more, but at the time that particular motor had at most a minimal weight penalty, if any, in the matrix. The way that I figured it was that the a3 was rated at ~160hp, but its a 2.0l, so you could do the basic allowed mods to it and still fit well within the rules while having a torquey near-stock motor. Take the weight penalty for an itr trans with it too and I think you'd end up with a pretty beaster car for not a lot of money. Spare motors would be cheap too, the a3 is basically the bastard stepchild of the k-series world. And doing things as cheap as possible is the name of the game in semi-pro racing!
Sounds good on paper at least.
Edit: the a3 still checks in with a 2300lb min weight.

droppin sum of my latest chops...
until I take care of my ride's hood (got this stupid big *** spot on it that doesn't come out washing...) and do the overall polishing, I got no pics to post, so...
First of all... this is kinna how I'd like my ride to look like (only missing the rear window visor)-
then, some fun chops....
a dream car from way back the beema 635 csi-
and thought I'd add some agressiveness to the new wrangler-
hope ya dig.
