I would assume the more tire on the ground the better for a striaghtline type event. You also have to take into account how the car will track/steer so it wont dart around as well. But you are right about the camber, ect although I am not super sure about how beneficial.

lol in a perfect world! or to an engineer, this would always be true, more rubber=better. unfortunately, if you've ever built something designed by an engineer, some times what looks great on paper just isn't practical in "reality". I love engineers!

sorry, i meant compensating camber, not counter camber. i'd love to see this employed on a drag car to see if it would help at all.

haha point taken Im hoping that I can combine my engineering degree with some common sense to avoid some of these problems us engineers are plagued with.

Don't get me wrong, I not only respect what ya'll do, I have a passion for it. As I have taken everything except one english class for my 2 year transfer. I just found that I'd rather build stuff than engineer it. Now I use a combination of both skills to do custom stuff. I would like to get further into engineering as math is another passion of mine. but i tend to over complicate things a bit much to BE an engineer

dont know how much this helps but i cut the front off right before the engine mounts and cut plates and welded them on the ends of the frames. then i built a hoop straight out the front, down bars from the upper fender supports (not sure what they are called) and then did a downward hoop for front engine mouning, rad support, etc........

Here is the most recent shot of mine from a while back, fuel cell and charge piping should be done soon!
