C5.
Not to be a Hype R is better cause it's a Type R. Just because it is an overall better engine....now the compression is a little high for forced induction however, Superchargers don't put out that much so.....C5.

Someone correct my theory if it's wrong, but assuming a positive displacement Jackson Racing supercharger and the same size pulley, the type R shouldn't put out that much more power than the GSR.
There would be a difference due to the R's higher redline, higher compression, and less power lost running the supercharger due to the R's better flowing head. However, I think the difference would not be nearly as much as the difference between the two motor in N/A form.

Also, you'd have to think about dialing a little overlap out of the ITR's cams... superchargers and overlap do not mix.
Honestly, I think there would be nearly no difference except for the trans.

If you're asking which one makes more power off JR kits in as-sold form, they are basically the same. Boost is reduced to 5psi on the Type R to compensate for the c/r and less meaty internals. But if you really want power from either engine, go turbo. The more you get into JR's kit power levels, the more you realize a B series engine just begs for a proper turbo kit instead.

Actually the GSR does better with the JRSC. the slightly lower compression is more boost friendly and the slightly milder cams are also good. Boosted engines, particularly supercharged ones, dont like a lot of overlap on the cams.
