Timing belt help-hail mary pass
my brother is heping his friend change the timing belt on his civic, its a 93 SOHC non-vtec I beleive. Anyways, his friend removed the belt before paint marking the belt against the sprockets. If they get the bottom end to TDC, what should the position of the cam sprocket be?
Any help or links would be much appreciated
thanks,
Jeff

Make sure up is up, and the little marks on either side of the gear line up with the top of the head. Be careful, if the motor is at TDC, turning the cam can force the valves onto the pistons. Move it a little off TDC, line up the cam, and put it back on.
