Skunk2 cams + Skunk2 cam gears = PROBLEM?!
I just bought this set of Skunk2 Stg2 cams. I tried to install it and slide my
Skunk2 cam gears over them. The cam gear hole for the cams are too small.
What's the problem here? Do I have to use a hammer to hit it up lightly? At the same time I dont want to damage the $700 cams. So what's the deal here? Skunk2 products don't even work together?
The funny thing is, the CTR cams I used to have fit fine however it was a little
tight.
I tried using the stock cam gears and the stock cam gears slide right into the Skunk2 cams so I'm using the stock gears right now but I want to have the
adj. cam gears so I can fine tune them next week on the dyno.
Should I get another brand of cam gears and junk the Skunk2 gears? What
is good? I was told Toda, Spoon, or STR.
Any commets appreciated. Thanks.

We had that problem as well with a set of Skunk2 gears and stage 1's. They eventually went on there, but they were pretty damn tight.
The pair of Skunk2 cam gears I have on CTR cams don't have any tight fitment problems. They go on and come off without fighting them and launching a woodruff key into the room.

Thank you for the quick reply.
How did you get the cam gears to fit the skunk2 cams? Any tips for me?
I was just planning to hit the gear in lightly with a hammer. Yea or Nah?
