quick ecu question....
im putting a obd2 gsr swap into my 99 civic dx and it's going to be converted to obd1.
Question is, can i use a stock obd1 ls ecu and socket/chip it with a gsr map and be good to go? Or does it have to be a vtec ecu?
Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Re: quick ecu question....
it can run on the LS ECU but you will not have VTEC or intake runner control.
Plus VTEC and IAB control have to be disabled or it will throw a CEL.
You can have the LS ECU converted to VTEC and the IAB control added.

Re: quick ecu question....
We were going to wire in vtec and wire in the iab's. Will that work or do i have to "convert" the ecu to vtec?
