MM code changing on its own

MM code changes on its own
I have a 2014 CRV EX with K24Z7 engine, 9000 miles. Did the first oil change (A1) in October '14 (7299 miles). After resetting the MM, the new code B16 appeared. I know that is what I need done at next service.
Along the way I discovered an oil leak. The dealer resealed Chain Case (the big cover), and replaced valve cover gasket. No other service was done. When I got the CRV back, I noticed Oil life changed to 80%, it was 90% prior to service. I expected this since the miles driven were close to that point of change in %.
However, I was surprised to see the MM code changed to B1. The "6" subcode disappeared. Spoke with service adviser. He said that might have happened automatically because it is too early for the '6' subcode, and it may come back when I get closer to 20 or 15% oil life.
Just yesterday (1/10/15) I noticed the "6" subcode came back. So now I have the B16 code.
Update 1/13/15: Took it to the dealer yesterday for checking on noise from the vents. When I picked up the V in the PM the MM code changed to B1. After driving it home, the code changed back to B16. It remains at B16 this morning. So, something they did at the dealership was causing the change. They told me they did nothing to the MM code.
Has anyone seen MM code changing on its own (especially after getting the car back from the dealer, and the dealer ddi not reset the codes)?
Appreciate any insight.
