HELP!!! Accord "locking" problem
96 Honda Accord EX 4cy. AUTO with 99k miles.
Just pick up this accord and forgot to check the door locks. When I lock the doors, within about 5seconds the door will automatically lock it self again. It'll do this every 5-10sec constantly. If the door is unlock it doesn't do anything(stays normal). I've tried removing the "door lock" fuse and replace it. It works for a day and now its coming back. Also, i tried reseting the ECU(disconnect battery) and it still doesn't change anything. I thought it might be the door switch so I remove each door switch at a time and lock the doors, it still has this problem. So forsure its not the door switch. Now I'm out of ideas and frustration is kicking in. Any advice would be appreciated.
What else can I check?
thanks in advance.
I'm familar with Honda's(this is my 5th one) but not a expert so be easy on the rookie explaining things : )

Re: HELP!!! Accord "locking" problem
I'm having a similar problem on my 2000 accord. If the key is in the ignition and I shut the driver door the locks cycle twice and then lock. Good thing I happened to have a spare in my wallet.

Re: HELP!!! Accord "locking" problem
More info needed....
How are you locking the doors when this happens, with key, door lock switch or key-less entry remote?
Is the power door lock system stock or aftermarket?
Is the key-less entry system stock or aftermarket?
My first guess would be the power door lock control module or key-less entry control module, [may be one piece unit if stock] or possibly the drivers door actuator, [lock/unlock switch in actuator].
You can test if it is the actuator by unplugging just the drivers door actuator, if problem persists, it is not the actuator. 94

Re: HELP!!! Accord "locking" problem
Similar issue, if I open and close the driver's side door with the key in the ignition then all of the doors lock. Not good when I don't have an extra key with me. It happens when the engine is running or not running.
Thanks for any advice.
