Crx with mini me just cranks
I recently started a mini me swap in a 91 crx dx. It is a d16y7 blocl with y8 head and manifold with the p28 ecu. We did the mpfi conversion and have a obd0 to obd1 coversion harness. I am running high impedance injectors so there is no resistor box. I have checked the grounds, filed to clean metal, replaced the engine bay fuse box....itwas chiggered up and put a new main relay in. We are certain there is spark and fuel. We pulled each plug and checked for spark. Plenty of fuel pressure and the injectors open and close. Toruble codes 10, 21, and 41 are present. Have not wired the vtec in yet since. I forgot to remove that one pin from the block. Any ideas?

Re: Crx with mini me just cranks
you need fuel, spark, compression and correct timing to start an engine.
you are certain you have spark and fuel, and it can be assumed that the bottom end from the y7 ran before the head swap.
that leaves timing...correct distributor as mentioned above, plus it might be a good idea to double check mechanical timing once you are certain you have a distributor that is correct for the ecu.

Re: Crx with mini me just cranks
I am using the y8 distributor that had been converted to obd1 and it was in a running civic. Then we spliced connectors to match into my crx harness. What distributor should I be using? I am using a p28 ecu, if I had not mentioned it.
We checked timing today. Took the belt off and lined the notch of the crank gear to the oil pump arrow. Then we lined the cam gear with the notches level with the deck and "up" in the middle. Put the belt on and after 3 attempts the timing marks were perfect. It would still backfire a little out the intake.
Adjusted the valves, and seemed the oil had fuel in it.
Perhaps the injectors get stuck open?
I have ran out of ideas at this point and open to yours.

Distributor is correct as far as sensors. I woluld triple check the wiring.
How could your injectors be stuck open if you said they are opening and closing?

When we were checking for spark, we noticed that the plugs were soaked with gas. My first thought would be no spark. But we saw sparks. My next thought was injectors.
