almost spun bearing.. change oil pump?
my oil light came on a while back and when the motor was taken apart, we noticed it was because one of the rod bearings was worn down pretty good.
it wasn't a fully spun bearing i guess.
now the motor is getting worked on. do i need to buy a new oil pump?
i'm thinking the wear on the bearing was due to a mis shift and the 10k rpm on the mis shift.

a misshift bends/breaks valves..usually when u send ur engine that high..you tend to break all valves...are those the original OEM bearings? because if they're not, you could spin them if they were not sized correctly

most of the time bearings spin because of lack of oil pressure. A miss shift could have blew the oil pump and that would cause a spun bearing but either way you have it all apart just rebuild it.
