'87 CRX Exhaust options
I have a 87 CRX with a custom 2" exhaust that splits into a two tip design (one tip on each side of the licence plate) but there is no muffler! I like the dual tip design but to add a muffler I think the easiest thing would to replace the tips with something like Apexi N1 universal mufflers, but this would require two of them. Whould there be any sound difference between having this two muffler design (simmilar to the v6 accords) or should I scrap the whole system and have a new 2.25 piping system made with the stock design? I'm looking at about $450 in parts for the dual muffler design or $250-300 in parts for the single design but more labor.
The base line is that I need to get a muffler on this thing so I can get it on the street to go to the track

Hey, sopunds like you have a project car there! The best thing for the 1st gen CRXs is to get a custom 2 inch mandrel bent system from a good performance exhaust shop. You can use any muffler, Dynomax are good, by my experience.

Re: '87 CRX Exhaust options (redlynr)
I have used a Borla universal on my old 87 Teg (sold) and was happy with it's quality and sound but I was wondering if a dual muffler setup would yeild quieter exhaust tones or just a waste of money?
