EG side moldings
When i brought the car, the side moldings where painted over. As of now it's start to chip, i want the moldings to be black, but too cheap to buy new ones.
this DIY said not to sand it down

my question is, what grit should i use to remove the white paint, without damaging the plastic molding bumps. Also if i remove the side moldings, can the clips easily break?

Re: EG side moldings
I bought a set of these mouldings on ebay, they are cheap and look great and around 40 dollars.

this is what they look like on my car.

Re: EG side moldings
I would just bite the bullet and get some off of ebay as neversellinmyeg did, the time that you will take it will be much easier and cheaper in the long run to just replace them.
