Wrx or 350 z
Sound off whats the better car. I am in a position to get a z or wrx. I drove both and am at a dead even. My friends all say wrx yet my rents say z. I am a college get that got my (ex gsr) stolen and stripped last week. I just want something that is already moderately fast that I can lightly tune, I don't have the heart, time or money to get deep in the game anymore.....PLZ HONDA-TECH sound off

Odd choices to narrow down to. It's sedan vs roadster.
Anyways, out of the two, I vote for the WRX -- AWD, 4-seater, factory turboed. It's just more my kind of car.

I hate the OP. This is Appearance and Cosmetic section, not "what car should I get section" and from the post don't think you are in college since you cannot string together a single sentence. And the ones you do are five words or less.
Did you honestly read this?
What the ****. Not to mention you do not go into any details on pricing, conditions of the cars, new/used/modded/stock/etc. Who the **** is going to give you an accurate answer?

look I put it together, in a min or so. I didn't think I was writing a dissertation, I just want some advice/different inputs. Also what aother section would this go in. last I checked this was the only section for other makes and models, sorry if this messed up your night.
Both are bone stock the wrx is a 2005 and the z is a 2003. The price range is 11k-12k. Also both are in pretty good condition.

Wow. Last 3 posts were very well educated, and thought through excerpts. The OP should really dwell on those words to help him decide on his chassis choice.

Had the same decision and went with the wrx and love it!! Cant go wrong with boosted awd.
My buddy got a 350z and sitting in and driving both the wrx is a lot more comfortable. I do love the look of the 350z but the widebody 4-dr wrx does it better for me

I would take the Z and it would be my 3rd car. If this is your only car, then WRX. There will be times you'll appreciate the space, trunk, and extra doors. I love the feel sitting in a Z, but I know I'll get claustrophobic after a while.

Re: Wrx or 350 z
i was in this position back in June of this year.
i was looking at an 05 WRX-STI and an 03 350z. the suby had 60k...the Z had 10k and was buying from the original owner (78yr old man from naples, FL)
subaru impression: i did like the fact of the 4 door, AWD, turbo. what i hated about it was that god awful blue suede interior it had. very nice car to have all year round and it decently quick as it sits stock. downfall for this car was insurance was kind of high for me. it was also black....and i told myself i would never own another black car ever again.
nissan impression: felt heavy but i loved the torque. it's not your most spacious car but it does have more room than the S2K. i really liked the the exterior styling of the car and have always loved the Z car. downside of this car was that it could be a pain in the *** if you needed to haul something around. and if my winter beater were to break down then this would be my primary car all year round. RWD+snow= could be fun? yet...dangerous? haha
my decision: i ended up with the Z b/c it was a better buy. also, i already have a daily driver so picking up another 4 door didn't make too much sense to me. although im happy about my purchase....that suby would be so nice to have right now.
since you're buying used...the best buy would be the smarter buy. whichever has lower miles and whichever one was maintained regularly would be the best choice. both are 2 totally different cars but it call comes down to you and what YOU want....not what HT thinks.
sorry for the long *** response.

Re: Wrx or 350 z
I have owned both of these, and they're both great cars. the decision will be based on your needs; do you need an all weather badass 4 door, or a summertime kickass coupe? btw the z's do have transmission troubles, but only if you beat on them. another thing to consider is upkeep, nissans dont require half as much as subies. used to work at both dealerships. i currently own the subie btw
