JDM H22A longblock, ARP, Full PnP, SS valves in WA perfect for rebuild or parts
Testing Waters... Head and Short are off the same motor
93 JDM H22A Head
20-25k miles since rebuilt
Full ESP PnP job
SS valves std size
30k mill
JDM cams
NOOO Intake Manifold, Dizzy, Timing Belt plastic, etc. Just basic Head components, If desired will throw in a valve cover.
93 JDM H22A short block
History: 15k miles on it since rebuilt with JDM H22A pistons, New Honda Rings, ARP rod bolts, re sized rods, ACL bearings. Compression in each Cylinder was 210-220 across the board 3 weeks ago.
H22A FRM cylinders are special and far as rebuilding them with STD pistons just gotta make sure the cylinders look and mic out ok. Which I did of course and it ran fine. Just gotta throw New OEM rings in it.
The bad: Cylinder 4 piston ringland went, It had 60 compression in it at the time. I have since took only Cyl 4 piston/rod out, I had a machine shop press another JDM H22A B pistons on. There is some light scorring to the eye on the FRM cylinder. If you can't pick it up with your finger nail or barely can it can be thrown back together this is a fact. I can barely pick it up. I am selling this because for race reasons it's not fully up to my par for daily etc might be better for the next person. There is a chance it will run better in that cylinder then it ever did or may eat a lil oil. It's a gamble. Bearings are perfect only 15k miles, Upon sale if buyer wants to try out this engine I will throw a NEW OEM ring set in it and button her up. Other wise this engine be perfect for rebuild. Crank is perfect all rods with ARP rod bolts are perfect all 4 pistons are great.
FYI if desiring to put on TYPE S pistons Oversized 10 over. Autosports in Seattle can do the bore and hone for $300 special procedure needed on FRM and they can do it from my conversations with them over the exact procedure.
