Hello,

I'm looking at swapping a K20A on my EK, and i asked a local shop owner who does the swap here

and he told me that i shouldn't get the K20A that came off of on an ITR (DC5) and i should get the one from CTR (FD2),

cause there will be problems swapping the DC5 K20A. Is this true? How about the one from Accord Euro R (CL7)?

what do you mean the K20A stamp?
he told me there's several K20As, and they're all different,
i checked on wiki and it's true they have different compressions, power, etc.
It's just a tuning shop and he doesn't have the motor, so i have to source it elsewhere.
And he told me to just get a B series or if i really want a K, get the one that came off an FD2.

yep, i got the budget for the motor plus other stuff already. i just want to know which K20A to get.

IIRC he said something about the ECU and the wiring that's different from an FD2 vs DC5 K20As. how about the CL7?

They all pose the same hurdles when doing a swap. I would never spend that much for a motor when a k24a2 is half the price.

any more difference between the two other than these? how about the CL7 K20A?

FD2 K20A 11.7.1 comp, 221hp, 159tq.

DC5 K20A 11.5.1 comp, 217hp, 152tq.

I got got k series ek mounts for u you bro so when u swap ur motor they new never been use they hasport ek k2 mounts

I forgot to say that I'm in PH. and they're all similarly priced here, 250k-280k.
I have 400k ready for the motor and other stuffs i need. I guess that's enough.

are you in PH? If you are, and it's cheaper than local sellers then i'll buy it.
