Need help, B20 vtec swap.
I just swapped the engine in recently and wired everything properly( I assume). The trouble is it idles insanely high 4500-5000 rpms. I used a b18b1 throttle body and I removed the coolant thing underneath the throttle body. I replaced the iac with a known good one and the problem still exists. I also have a chipped p28 ecu I bought on ebay, I'm not sure if that could also be an issue. If anyone has any ideas what so ever I am clueless at this point and plead for a response to help me in the right direction. Thanks

What did you plug the holes with when you removed the fast idle thermo valve ??? If your answer is nothing... well, there you go. To test this, remove the inlet filter tube exposing the throttle body opening, crank up the car, and while the engine is idling (really high in this case), place your finger on the hole at the lower left (about 8 o'clock) of the throttle body inlet just in front of the throttle blade. Completely covering this hole closes the thermo valve port. This should bring the car down to a normal idle immediately if the thermo valve is your ONLY problem. Other vacuum leaks may also be contributing, so further testing may be required.
