Default D16y7 swap in 89 civic lx

Hello so my transmission on the stock motor in my 89 civic was bad so I decided to go ahead and get a new motor and transmission setup for it because the d15b2 hade 260k+ miles on it anyways. So I found a D16y7 with a hydraulic transmission (that's only the beggining of my problems) with only 50k on them for a good price so I snatched them ( I made sure to get the ecu as well). I've got the b2 pulled and the y7 is on a cherry picker ready to be put in for now I'm wondering what I should do before dropping it in because I'm borrowing the cherry picker from a friend and need to get it back to him.
(Any and all info advice suggestions ect. Is greatly appreciated! !!!!)
I know I'm going to need to do an obd 1 swap and a dpfi to mpfi swap and Im not sure if the wiring harness will work so I might need a new one of those also I hear I'm supposed to use the mounts off of the b2 BUT passender side isnt looking like it will line up. And I have heard I can use the intake off of the b2 for the time being right? Like I said any and all suggestions are appreciated sooner I get this Honda running the better!!! Performance stuff is not a necessity it can wait until I have this sumb**** running! Thank you

You might be making more work for yourself with that plan... I put a D16Y7 in my old 89 CRX Si so here's what I'd recommend in your case.

1) Get rid of the hydro transmission and find an Si cable transmission from the same generation
2) Keep the car OBD0 and use the ECU from an Si (NOTE: there is a 6 degree difference in ignition timing so you'd have to manually adjust this)
3) MPFI swap and using an intake manifold, distributor, sensors, etc etc from 88-91 Si
4) The mounts from your original motor SHOULD work... mine did
5) Ehh, you might need to use your old motor flywheel unless you're using a 90+ clutch/pressure plate

I also recall having to rig something for one of the radiator hoses as the d16y7 thermostat housing outlet is on a different angle, and one of the sensors behind the block needed a wire extension spliced in.

For the time being I'd just swap over intake and exhaust manifolds and distributor from your old motor. Like above you're going to have to wire the cooling fan switch from the back of the block location of your old motor to the thermostat housing on the new motor. Beyond that the rest will be plug and play. Also like above find a 88-91 Si/EX transmission and sell the hydro one. Later on you can swap over to MPFI and go OBD1 if you want. At that point you could go mini me if you want as well.
