B18B1 into an EJ1
Thinking about building up a b18b1 for my EJ1 which is my dd. I know that I need an ls tranny to keep it auto, after seaching a bit. Am I right to believe other than axles, ps bracket, pump, and all the other crap that goes with it, that I would need a p75 ecu to keep it obd1? And would my ex harness work with it?
And yes, I have done my searches. And even after posting this thread, I`m still searching.

Re: B18B1 into an EJ1
I want to keep this car auto because I don`t want to spend the time or money doing a auto-man swap. Would the ls trans be good enough to keep it auto? And would my EX harness connect to it without any modifications? Same goes for the P75 ECU.

You will need the p75 obd1 AUTO ecu(will work fine plug and play) Or chip your current ecu programmed to the b18b1 base map etc but IMO not worth the hassle. Your EX harness will work fine, just will have extra plugs because of the lack of vtec. Yes the LS transmission will be best bet for that swap being automatic, I'm honestly unsure what other transmission would work since it's auto. Dizzy has to be obd1 as well as alternator(unless you make the conversion with alternator plug to obd2 with an extra plug laying around)
