Misfire Problem (CEL)
So last week i threw a CEL.
( DOH i just searched and found a similar thread, but it didnt help me much ) (edit)
I scanned my codes and threw 6 different ones.
P0300
P0301
P0302
P0303
P0304
and
P01399 ( i think if i remember right )
All had to do with misfires and random misfires in all cylinders.
I changed spark plugs ( they were the OEM ones and had 70k miles on them)
reset my codes and drove home.
THe next day i threw a CEL again.
This time only one code, P0302 ( misfire detected in cylinder 2 )
Any ideas on what this could be?
Coil Pack?
Injector?
Crank?

Re: Misfire Problem (GSR-Tetsuo)
Reset and see if it happens again in # 2. Do that a few times and if #2 keeps coming up try switching the #2 coil pack with another cylinder and see what happens from there. If it follows the coil pack you found your problem.

Re: Misfire Problem (White Smoke)
Very good idea but you would have to do the test several times and clear the code several times since initially you had all cylinders misfiring, this could also be the way you drive and you may have gone lean on heavy accel, which means a fuel system and fuel injector servicing is due so drive normal till you get it figured out.

Re: Misfire Problem (Duane_in_Japan)
Found the problem.
My Berk Test pipe ( with the "CEL FIX" built in) was having my 02 sensor too far into the exhaust stream. The 02 sensor was reading the exhaust as "too rich" and leaned out the amount of fuel being put into the engine.
I bought a longer 02 cel fix, hopefully that will work.
