Re: computer chip (redtr4)
there's lots, mugen, j's racing, and i think buddy club... not sure about the last one tho but deffinently mugen and j's racing.... altho i would advise not getting a chip, because the maps of these chips are made for their cars with the parts that they have in their car, so unless you're going to mimic everything that they did to their car it's not gonna help you as much as you would think... i would go with an aem ems if you wanted to get something better...

to add to the suggestions...
it isn't a simple chip like those you would throw in a truck. these are either piggy back controllers which must be tuned (Apexi VAFC) or replacement ECU's which are priced well over a grand (avg ~1500). And the AEM EMS, while is is great, and doesn't cost as much (~1200), you *must* tune this, so the price goes up, possibly above the ECU replacements when getting this.

Re: computer chip (Mr. Bagel)
If you're going to do minor stuff, people have been having alot of success with the VAFC recently. Id hit that up unless you are going to get real intense. Personal choice though.

Re: (redtr4)
The VAFC offers mild tuning ability - but its cost efficient if you're not building a complete beast. Id get your feet wet with that - and if you need more intense tuning, go pick up an EMS.

Amuse also makes an ECU for the s2k. but like everybody said they are normally to be used in conjunction with their parts. the AEM EMS has base maps that you could use before getting it tuned, but i think it runs the car rich (although from what i hear the s2k runs rich from the factory)

no there are no *chips* for the stock S2000 ECU, only full ECU replacement from various manufacturers. AEM is the only programmable plug/play that I am aware of. With their startup program it gives a good 10hp more wihtout even tuning. check their site for a dyno graph.

yep, the newer EMS is better, smaller, fits in the kick panel like a glove.
