Weird noises in prelude
Ok guys I have a 01 prelude that I bought a few months ago. I've had this problem since I bought it. When I'm driving no matter how fast I go and I let of the gas even before I hit the breaks there is a clunking noise coming from underneath the front of the car. Its a fast clinking noise and it doesn't stop until I start going again or completely stop. Theres no tears or leaked on the cv boots and the wheel bearings are good. There is a cheap traction bar on it but I don't think that's it because of how violent it is. I know the left motor mount is bad but the trans mount doesn't look to bad from what I can see. do you guys have any suggestions on what to check next?

Re: Weird noises in prelude
check maybe your tie rods that can also cause a problem. For sure you want to get that mount replace. All it will do is cause more stress on the other mounts and wear out faster which then will cause damage to the transmission and possibly crack it the case

Re: Weird noises in prelude
the rear mount is good to. ive never noticed it but there actually is no front mount. the traction bar im assuming is a cheap ebay traction bar and the bracket for the front mount was cut off of it so i have no way of getting a front mount on there.
