Rain won't dry off my car.
So i've noticed over the course of the past few months that when it rains, the water doesn't dry off my car. i can't garage my car as we already have 4 cars in the fam and i got the boot. normally it would take several days to dry it off. i may be just being paranoid but compared to my neighbors cars, mines the only one wet. it's an 98 and it's from cali. the clear coat is starting to show age. could that be it? any insight would help. i'm not in a dire need to "fix" this prob, just wna see if anybody knows what's going on. thanks.

I love how us prelude owners are so paranoid about our beloved cars. The rain is not going to hurt your paint job. The sunlight will hurt it more. The honda paint jobs on our preludes are kinda cheap and dont last long sitting outside all the time, mostly from the sun. Mine is a 98 as well and a fl car and my paint has turned to crap even though I always babied it and washed it at least once a week. As far as the rain not drying off as fast as your neighbors maybe its the aerodynamics. I noticed because of the long straight hood on the 5th gen the water tends to sit there longer than other cars that have rounder hoods that let the rain run off easier

I have the same problem. I've always noticed it, but didnt think too much of it. My car is the same color as yours. Diamond white pearl. I always notice that my car's always still wet after raining while all the cars around it are dry.

you need to wax it. My car is also the same color as yours, and I notice that when I wax my car, the car doesn't "stay wet" for as long. My cousin's 00 accord that never has been waxed looks wet for a very long time.

well if the paint has been neglected and not cared for in a while, I would suggest you clay, polish, then wax it. I haven't clayed my car in a while and I can see paint damage all over my trunk from a few feet away. After your all done, which will be in hours, you will really appreciate your hard work.
