H23A1 Venom Intake Manifold
I was just wondering if this intake manifold by Venom is any good. If anyone has any information about this please help. I found it on Nopi.com but I'm not so sure about it since I don't really hear people talk about it. Here's a link to the site: http://www.nopionline.com/nopi...ifold
Here's a pic:
Looks a little weird since they come in different colors.
What other companies make intake manifolds for H23A1s?
Thanks.

Re: H23A1 Venom Intake Manifold (SUB-0 H23)
If your not cosidering boosting your h23, then you should stick with
the stock one.
If anything, modify the stock one for an all motor setup.

Re: H23A1 Venom Intake Manifold (ralpheyizzle)
I've got the Venom manifold on my H22A, and it isn't really that good unless you are going FI. I've definitely lost some low end power, but it is a bit stronger than stock at the top end. Hopefully I'll have some dyno numbers next week to know EXACTLY what effect it has.
It's also kind of a bitch to install. No provisions for IAC or IAT. I also had to remove the fast idle thermo valve to make the throttle body clear the engine mount, and rework the intake pipe, since the throttle body sits about 4 or 5 inches lower than it does with the stock manifold. It also does't quite line up the fuel rail correctly, you need to use a couple washers as spacers to make sure the fuel rail seats right.
If you aren't planning on FI, I wouldn't bother. I only bought mine for a planned turbo install, and since I got it used for CHEAP.

The Golden Eagle manifold has locations for the IACV and IAT as well as several vacuum ports. The intake pipe leading to the throttle body will need to be reworked on the GE as well since it sits about 2-3" lower. Also, one of the brake master cylinder lines needs to be slightly bent about 1/2" for clearance.

Re: H23A1 Venom Intake Manifold (PrecisionH23a)
I saw the thread about the GE IM. And from reading what everyone says I think I like it better than the Venom. Precision you got any more details on the GE IM? I tried to post in that thread but I couldn't. I think because it's archived. If anyone has anymore info about either of these IM I'd really appreciate it. Thanks everyone.
*edit* Also how would I modify the stock one for NA. I might do that while I save up for a turbo setup.
And also, as most of you have said that the IMs are better for boost, would it also work good with Wet Nitrous?

What Sleeper95Lude said we experianced also. In addition we had to make a mount for the throttle cable. If you use the venom intake I would strongly recomend the fuel rail - the fitment was great. We were able to make awesome power. Here is a picture. We made over 500whp with the stock intake.

Re: H23A1 Venom Intake Manifold (OaksRacing)
I've been to your cardomain site. Your car is awesome.
Would the Venom IM work with low boost like 6 to 8 psi? I see you're probably running a lot more than that. Also will it work with some wet nitrous? Maybe a 50 to 75 shot?
Thanks.

It will work fine - just remember you will need to do a little fabrication to make it work. Thanks for the good comments.
