Default 2007 honda fit electrical problem...help please!!!

hello everyone Im new to this site...I was told i would get some good feedback from this place. So i have a 07 fit and i was on the freeway when it turned off on me and it was making a clicking noise by the fuse box inside the car, also it sounded like the fuel pump was making a sound....after about 20 mins it stoped and it turned back on fine but it would not go pass 20mph my check engine light came on i was lucky to make it home. the next day I hooked up a code reader and got error code P0685 and car is still making that clicking sound I erased all codes and it comes back on instantly BUT the weird thing is that if i erase the codes and leave the code reader hooked on the car runs fine with no CEL...? never seen this happen...please help me I will appreciate any good feedback thank you all!!!

Probably a short somewhere. The clicking sound was probably some relays turning on and off while the short was making and unmaking connection. once it shorts you get a code and go into limp home mode that is why you can only go slowly. Get someone knowledgeable in vehicle electrical systems to hunt down the short.

Amazing what you can find on google read the very first one

Start with checking for looseness, corrosion or breakage of the battery cables and terminals. Then check the grounds. Usually the first ground to go bad is the one going from the engine to the radiator support. Then get help if you can't find a bad connection.

Most of the relays are in the fuse box under the hood. There is a diagram showing which one is which on the underside of the cover.
