CR-V 2001 LX Automatic to Manual Conversion
I've seen various posts about swapping out transmissions such as here. Two questions come up in my mind. For anybody who has done this or has lots of experience working on CR-V's, is something that would be worth it to do? Also in a made up scenario if the automatic trans completely failed could somebody such as myself (who has done a timing belt change, basic maintenance, etc.) would be able to swap it out? Thanks!

DO IT ON ALL FOURS
Re: CR-V 2001 LX Automatic to Manual Conversion
It will all come down to your individual situation. For myself the answer is an easy - HELL NO!!! Not even remotely worth my time. Not knowing your skill level, it's hard to judge what's within the realm of reality for you. Cars come very simple to me in any situation, so it's just another day under the hood. If in doubt, buy yourself a repair manual and watch some videos on YouTube of transmission installations to see if you think it is within your ability to do so. The link you provided is as good as you are going to get for the CRV unfortunately.
