Default For those with a 88-89 crx with 90-91 taillights (searched

I will start off by saying I did a long search and found nothing. I have a set of 90-91 tailights I picked up. The female clip on them is different from the one on my 89 crx harness.
Heres how mine looks on my 89 crx DX = Bastard child model

and here is the one on the 90-91

I am sure someone has done the swap before, I just wanted to know what is my best option for getting these in? Cut off the female connector on the 89's and wire them onto the 90-91 tails? or find male clips to connect to my harness on the car and cut that all up? Recommendations?
The reverse lights also have this same type of problem

hes thinking about hatches. i dunno about crx's but with hatches 88-89 had one bulb in the main taillight and the 90-91 had two bulbs in the main taillight.

I had 90-91 tail lights on my 89. I just swapped over the 89 harness so I was missing one bulb in each side. Didn't seem to make any difference.

I have a set of JDM 90-91 tail lights for sale if anyone wants some...

I aswell did this swap, like 2 months ago, swap over the harnesses. You may have to flip them over or swap sides as well to get things to lineup.

Ah, thank you all for the easy way to do this, I was considering chopping my harness up.

How far back does the rear tail light harness run ( how many interior panels need to come off to find the end??where is the end located)? I am assuming that the new harness WILL hook into place where my original harness is??

you only have to remove 4 access panels.

I rewired the General (91 Si) with the entire car harness from an 88 Si. as these guys said, all that has to be done is switch the tailight harness on each light.
simple, just take a peek and you'll see. There are no extra/left out bulbs either.

Yes that makes much more sense; I thought you guys were referring to swapping the harness on the car. Well I will try what gator said

Yeah that’s what I did, and it's very good advice. I guess I had misread what you and gator had said at first. So I did this and it was very easy as you all said. I really have never talked with anyone who did this (that’s what the tread is for), not a lot of crx guys around here. Anyways here’s how they look before and after, what do you think? Check out that custom diffuser

Before

After

Not the best pics, could use a better angle but you get the idea

i'm digging my 90 taillights on my 89 hf..looks better imho..the guy at the swap yard had "just sold " the 89's he supposedly had when i talked to him only minutes before..oh well..i got him to throw in a headlight "for my troubles" ..back OT..swapping out the harnesses is super easy..just start removing them and it will all make sense once you get there
