Yes....

Something I learned a couple days ago on here:

The rev limits are slightly higher on the 90-91 ecus

Also the 88-89 cannot be chipped as easily as the 90-91 ecus

As far as I know those are the only differences.

hmm ive heard about these chipping issues also. anyone know the rev limit difference? i have 3 pm6's and im wondering if simply goin from a 89 to a 90 will help rev limits any. thanks for the quick reply by the way

You are not going to notice any different by revving a little bit higher with your a6.

unless you plan on chipping your ecu don't waste the time switching them.

chipping wise the 88-89 will more than likely lack the external eprom, the 90-91 ecu is equipped with this.

If you are just gonna run the ecu stock, no chipping or nothing, just wanting something a tad bit better, go get a PG7 ecu.

i will be chipping in the future, so ill hold on to the 90, but wont put it in. btw, is turboedit the only obd0 standalone i can run?

the 88-89 si is 6500 and the 90-91 si 6800. The pg7 out of the 88-89 integra is the way to go though, from what I heard.

TurboEdit(my favorite), Ghettodyne(no longer being updated), and OBDO edit
