Yes....
Something I learned a couple days ago on here: The rev limits are slightly higher on the 90-91 ecus Also the 88-89 cannot be chipped as easily as the 90-91 ecus As far as I know those are the only differences.https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif |

hmm ive heard about these chipping issues also. anyone know the rev limit difference? i have 3 pm6's and im wondering if simply goin from a 89 to a 90 will help rev limits any. thanks for the quick reply by the way

You are not going to notice any different by revving a little bit higher with your a6.
unless you plan on chipping your ecu don't waste the time switching them. |
Re: (ssl2k)
chipping wise the 88-89 will more than likely lack the external eprom, the 90-91 ecu is equipped with this.
If you are just gonna run the ecu stock, no chipping or nothing, just wanting something a tad bit better, go get a PG7 ecu. |
Re: (soyouwannabejdm)
i will be chipping in the future, so ill hold on to the 90, but wont put it in. btw, is turboedit the only obd0 standalone i can run?

the 88-89 si is 6500 and the 90-91 si 6800. The pg7 out of the 88-89 integra is the way to go though, from what I heard.

Re: (MtnCRX)
check out the WHAT ECU '90 CRX thread, I had a lot of the same questions, well except the last one.

ghettodyne, I haven't personally used it but it looks pretty cool... |
yes your options for OBDO map editing are:
TurboEdit(my favorite), Ghettodyne(no longer being updated), and OBDO edit |
