Sunroof drain hose exit?
I'm trying to trace down this leak in my sedan. When I pulled up the carpet near the drivers side door, I noticed a previous owner must have been doing the same thing. The metal near where the hood release was cut. I pryed it back and saw the end of the sunroof drain hoise dangling there. Is it supposed to be like that or connect somewhere so it exits the car? I can't really see much. Where is it supposed to exit? The other side looks like it exits at the pinch weld. None of my other cars (non Honda) were like that.

If you have an '88-91 sedan, then your sunroof is aftermarket, so we can't really tell you how it is or isn't supposed to be.

I've got pics of where it exits on my CRX, but cant find them.
On mine, the hose goes to the rear corners, and has a nipple type deal at the end that's removable to clean the tube. Then, the tube (with the nipple on) is inserted into a little rubber boot thing that seals it from the outside. It drips from there, right between the rear bumper and car. Thats why there's always rust on the rear of the rear wheel wells b/c the hose gets yanked out and rather then dumping out of the car, it dumps into a little crevice in the rear wheel well, and sits there. Nobody notices it b/c its all behind the interior and even then its behind the frame.

Yeah, talk about design flaw of the century, right?
If it werent for that, I'd dare say we'd have aSHITLOAD of more CRX's around.
The thought of a CRX sittin there screamin "Help, help, there's water sittin me like ima damn cup!" gives me the chills......LOL
