Seafoam or what...
Alright so I went and put a new throttle body on my car, I checked the TPS with my multimeter, and it was the same as the previous throttle body (.5v which I have heard should be .45, but it wouldn't go that low, maybe it's just my meter). Anyway when I started the car it's idle was crazy and the car wasn't running good at all, not driveable. After some inspection I noticed a VERY HEAVY white smoke coming from the exhaust, so I was thinking maybe my Air to fuel was messed up so I put the original TB back on. Started the car better idle, but it was still totally out of whack. After about 3 or 4 mins of running the white smoke disappeared and it had kinda a faint black smoke. And the idle bounced up and down like crazy, I found the map sensor wasn't making a good seal so I made a gasket for it and put it on, well that has about fixed the idle, and it still has a faint black smoke and a LOT of moisture coming out.
It drives good now, but I am still wondering what happened, I notice a pretty strong exhaust odor when I am driving now as well
Now I put half a bottle of seafoam in my gas tank (With $20 worth of gas) about 3 or 4 days ago and I have driven about 100 mi without noticing any smoke or odors. So do you think that the smoke was caused from the seafoam? If it was a cracked head or bad head gasket wouldn't it continue to smoke?
BTW I checked my coolant and it's still at the same level it was.

ive read good things, and ive read bad things about seafoam..if your motor has no leaks (oil, coolant) dont use it..if your motor is high mileage, it has gunk buildup that is holding everything together. seafoam is known to be strong and break through that leading to more problems..i just wouldnt use it
and yes, if it conitinued to smoke, then yes it would be a bad headgasket..

Well it's a CRX w/ a B16A2 (1999-2000 Civic Si) so my guess is the mileage is about 60,000-120,000 miles, however the motor is in incredible condition so I tend to think it's under a 100K.

I took my car out on a service call, and when I got back I noticed some faint black smoke in my exhaust (after the car was off) and a lot of moisture again. Still a very strong exhaust odor when driving as well.

First off, read the instructions. I think you have too much Seafoam in the tank.
I believe it is a third of the can treats 20 gal.
It would not clog the cat, Not big enough particles.

How many miles since you added the SeaFoam? (nevermind saw you said 100) When I've used it in different cars, the first 50 miles seem like the car may fall apart but it gradually gets better through the tank of gas.. the moisture should be there (seafoam helps clear water from fuel tank) so as the seafoam (some people use alcohol for this purpose) carries the water without through the combustion process.. seafoam is able to burn leaving water vapor to exit your exhaust, but as it cools becomes droplets you see coming out of your tailpipe. you'll get a little residual smoke for probably the rest of the tank of gas (alot of stuff to burn up first in combustion then again by the catalyst)

No if defintily looks like water, doesn't have the nasty AF smell either. I have be doing some reading and I really do think it's seafoam, it's just weird it came all at once. Maybe because it's getting lower on the tank of gas. I looked at my oil yesterday and it was a little dark, but it looked fine, I am going to do a more indepth look when I get done work. Also I checked my coolant and it looked like the same level.

you use less if you piggyback on a vacuum line to the intake, but he used the correct amount for in the tank.

Yeah I read the directions over and over to make sure I didn't make any mistakes. It just freaked me out because I drove the car for quite a bit with no results, then I started it yesterday and tons of white smoke started coming out. So do you guys think it was the seafoam?

yea, theres alot of legit people on here
but with the seafoam, did you actually notice anything? im currently running a jdm d15b, but going withthe b16 sooner or later so im just gonna try it out i guess

I did notice the engine seems to start easier and feels a little smoother during daily driving. I can't say I felt any increase in power or anything like that
