Default Overheating Crx ;/

Well on my way to work today i ran my car a little to much i guess(was playing with my new b16a) and when i pulled up to my job site i saw anti freeze leaking.. I popped my hood and the overflow container was boiling/leaking anti freeze. On my way home it started overheating so i got some more anti freeze praying that would fix it but it didnt ;/. While driving on the highway its fine but at traffic lights and such it starts to over heat.

Any ideas?

i would first do basic things, like i would change the thermostat and put some radiator flush in there and do flushing out the tranny. just to see if that works. if not then when was the last time you changed your water pump ? or your radiator ?

so when your driving its fine, but when stopped it overheats? are your fans kicking on? how is the radiator? hopefully it isn't your water pump, that would suck.

yeah fan is kicking on..

Radiator seems to be fine to my knowledge.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by civickiller &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">i would first do basic things, like i would change the thermostat and put some radiator flush in there and do flushing out the tranny. just to see if that works. if not then when was the last time you changed your water pump ? or your radiator ?</TD></TR></TABLE>

As far as I knopw the water pump hasnt been changed in a very long time. Is there a way to test it?

Im going to head out and get some flush as well as a new cap...

the thermostat is at the end of the lower radiator hose, should be 2 bolts and just put the gasket on the thermostat and put it in, only 1 way it can go
