Direct wire TPS to ecu?
Fellas:
Ive been having endless rejections of TPSs in my d15b2 crx. I tried one from another car, direct wired the ground to chassis, calibrated calibrated calibrated, and no matter what i get code 7, TPS malfunction. I am testing 5V power to tps and correct range of volts returning to ecu, but the ecu must not be seeing those voltages because it constantly kicks out code 7. Therefore, i want to directly wire the tps to the ecu and bypass the stock harness. The ground already has been done, i grounded it to the valve cover strap, and i have continuity between battery negative and the tps ground. I wanna know which wires to cut at the ecu to bypass the stock harness and how to get the ecu out of the car. Would a failed ecu also cause these symptoms? The car runs otherwise fine, aside from stuttering and machine gun exhaust note because of the tps.

Re: Direct wire TPS to ecu?
Dual point, and I have reset the ecu. I have not tested for continuity of plug to ECU, how do I test that? I assume theres Power continuity, since I get 5V at the connector, but maybe the return wire, the signal wire, isn't reaching the ecu? Maybe it's frayed and shorted out somewhere or it got cut. How do i check at the ecu

Re: Direct wire TPS to ecu?
Confirmed tps is set correctly, grounded and powered, throttle cable is set, still code 7. I unplug the tps and it doesnt change the idle. I think the ecu doesn't see it. Help? Which wure to tap into directly at the computer?

Re: Direct wire TPS to ecu?
having tps issues and wanted to direct wire, went through everything on the car, that I know how to do. Everything has continuity throughout engine bay. F23a in a 96 accord. Ecu is a p28 with a obd2a to obd1 jumper. I also tested car back on stock ecu and still had tps come on. I didn’t notice until a few weeks after swapping engine the first time. I still had stock ecu and passed emissions it was after getting tuned. I’ve done this swap before in another accord of mine previously and didn’t have issues. I think it has something to do with the wires from the engine bay to ecu. Any help would be great
