after i did my rear disc brake swap on my 88 si, i stripped the left bolt threads for the upper control arm. they are damaged at the beginning so i cant get the bolt in, so not stripped. anyone know the size threads these are?
im looking at getting a thread chaser to repair the damaged part

You need a tap but I can't be sure of the size off the top of my head right now since it's been a while since I messed with those bolts. to measure the thread dia just see what size wrench fits the bolt and for thread pitch I wanna say probably 1.25 (might be 1.0 though) but any good tap and die set has a tool to measure the thread pitch. I feel pretty sure though it will be 10x1.25

on honda it says 10x30. and wont a tap ruin the threads? or can a tap clean them up as well?
because i was told to use a thread chaser.

I know that 10x30 is not the thread pitch, I am pretty sure that means 10mm dia by 30 mm length.
No a tap will not ruin the threads, it will just clean them up I am not posistive but I'm pretty sure a thread chaser is another name for a tap

a thread chaser is made for damaged threads, til the point where it strie the bolt threads. but I'll try a 10mm tap.
how do i determine the thread pitch for the bolt?

Yeah that’s not the thread pitch, just take the bolt the wherever you plan on buying it and tell the you need a thread chaser of the same size.
