B20b timing issue-
Hey guys,
Just picked up a Civic Wagon with a B20B/B17 Trans
I had this listed in the All motor section, but it doesnt seem to get the traffic as this place, so here it goes.
The current list of mods include:
Crower Stage 1 Cams
AEM Gears
Blox Intake Mani
Blox TB (MM unknown)
Godspeed Fuel Rail
Washable Fuel Filter
Unknown Wrapped 4-2-1 Header
2.5 Back Mandrel bend exhaust without a CAT
Short Ram Intake
CTR Pulley
F1 Clutch with 9LB Flywheel
And a Rich-Tuned 93 LS ECU
Now Ive had B20's before and this thing is not running right.
To get it timed, the guy had to Notch the Dizzy and clock it waaaay over.
Does anybody know if this is normal?
He says he got 179 to the wheels but idont think that sounds right, it doesnt feel like 179.
My Last wagon with a stock b16 and LS trans was faster...
Pix will be up soon.
Also i have a stock LS ECU and it seem to be faster VS the Rich tuned one, but the car idles better with the R.T. one.

Re: B20b timing issue-
Two things, 1,wrong dizzy (possibility) and 2 people do that when they fail to time the engine properly, so they advance the dizzy as far as they can to compensate for their shitty work. Tear down the front and check the timing, see where the idiot went wrong

Re: B20b timing issue-
Lol fair enough. And that's basicly my plan.
Does anybody have a link to a good writeup? Maybe even for Crower stage ones with aem gears on a b20? Lol its worth a try. Also what dizzy should I be using for an obd-0 b20b? Just an ls one right?
