Default 1991 Civic LX No Crank No Start

Hello Honda Enthusiasts...

Quickly, I have a 1991 LX sedan recently having a problem with getting the car to start. Key in ignition, turn key, no crank. All lights and power works, fuel pump etc. New Honda battery. Starter tested fine. Will not crank. Anybody else have this issue?

Did you even read the post? What does compression and timing have to do with a NO CRANK symptom which means when I turn the key, nothing happens.

How did you slip your timing? Don't take this the wrong way but,how do people ruin a Honda, seriously? The only way I can imagine this happened is you put everything back together OUT OF TIME, or you didn't tighten the tensioner, started it up and revved it at 9 grand until it exploded. Not trying to be a doucher.

If you're not getting voltage at the starter solenoid with key in START position, check in this order:

1. battery cable
2. clutch switch (MT) or neutral safety switch (AT)
3. ignition switch
4. starter relay

Everything Looks fine. Electronics seem to function normally. Is the GROUND wire supposed to have a huge open spot on the cable right before it bolts on the chassis like 4-5"? This wire is exposed and it looks super oxidized, corroded and whatever else 24 years does to an exposed wire.

d15 hitting 9k LOL, mine came with a dohc zc it had a cover blocking the tensioner, the tensioner was the culprit in that situation

Had a couple things from amzoan arrive today. One of them was a ground battery cable. Replaced that and low and behold crank and start?!?!? Started right up, killed it, started right up again, drove around, started right up, parked and sat, started right up again. I CANNOT believe the ground battery cable could just completely stop my motor from cranking!! Finally fixed.

No crank no starts always check the ground cable WTF. Thanks for the responses you guys nailed this one!
