weird Chugging and pinging......... need some nice person to offer advice
i have a 93 4 door i bought for a daily driver
it is a stock DX 1.5 d15
it has a Severe chugging and sputtering problem past 1/10 throttle
which gets worse the further you go up the rpms or the wider open the throttle is
i have checked fuel pressure
i also kinked the fuel return line and pressure spiked up to 65 psi indicating the fuel pump is still good
i have checked all spark plugs to make sure they are getting spark, and they are
checked the cap and rotor and they were also good
also put in a new fuel filter
and new spark plugs and plug wires
im baffled here what could be wrong

best case scenario, check you air filter, gas. worst case scenario, it's the beginning of bad piston rings or blown head gasket, causing a low compression.
