Default VSS
I searched and couldn't find what I was looking for. My speedometer, odometer, and vtec do not work. I am assuming bad VSS? I pull up the little black rubber head and see the wiring and stuff on top off the VSS but how the hell do I get it out? I want to check it and clean it so I don't have to spend anymore money right now. Any thoughts? BTW: 97 Civic EX... Thanks

Its a 10mm bolt I believe, either one or two bolts, easy to get off.

Try changing the plug that hooks up to the vss. Most of the time its gets corroded. Most the the time its no the vss, it the plug...
