Hmm...might have to get me a dial gauge so I can measure the bushings and the outer rings so I can have 2 sets of sockets, 1 set for the bushings and another for the suspension parts. That way I won't damage anything.

I've used a 22,24, and a 32mm socket.
Rent a ball joint press, and use the cups that it includes. that's how I did it. You'll need random **** here and there to support the arms though.

Applied gasket maker to my grommet rings on the valve cover because oil been leaking into the wells. I just changed those suckers a few weeks ago and been getting oil in them since.
Some say: "Add gasket maker for a good seal and no leaks!!"
Some others say: " No! Never add gasket maker. It will cause leaks!!!
Guess it just depends on if it leaks in the first place or not......

As promised, photo's of the BA15D bulbs that work perfectly in the front signals. And as an added bonus, my new headlight lenses have pretty much the same clear signal light reflector/lens setup as your clear lens corners. I took a pic so you can see how the orange bulb adds character to the plain clear and silver reflector setup:
Attachment 420156Attachment 420157
Took some time tonight and aimed my headlights, now both the projector low beams and the regular reflector high beams are aimed properly after my recent headlight install.

I checked out my side lights (at night) and they look like tan Christmas lights, not a good look at all.
I'll get my hands on those orange bulbs, should look lovely!

Finally scored an engine hoist. Got this real beauty for 200 CAD. Guy used it once and stored it in his environment controlled garage for 4 years. Basically brand spanking new, and the nice one with a foot pump for easier one man operation.
With it just pulled out the D16Z6 out of the parts car that I'm putting in my car this weekend. It's the motor sitting by the hoist.
Well, back to the grind. Time to rip into my car. Got lots to do.

It's sitting in the store room. Will get back to blueprinting the block at some point. I was measuring the cylinders incorrectly and couldn't figure out why I was no where near where I should be. And both my wifes motor and my motor are tired so I got 2 D16Z6's to put in em for now. Mine has so much blow by on cylinder #4 that it's only a matter of time before it pops and I have a 3 cylinder.
When I get back to blueprinting and getting the rest of the things to rebuild the bottom with a light hone, I'll be putting the Y8 head on the B7 block which means a tune etc. Partly why I haven't been in a hurry.
This way too, I have some Z6's to play with down the road too.
Mostly, this is the fast fix, rebuilding and doing my mini me is far from fast with my slow going and limited funds.

I wish I could find those for rent around here, would have saved a lot of hassle. However the PIC outer ring is WAY softer than I expected.
I beat the **** out of my other one to get them out and they didn't bend. I barely hit the PIC's and it folded over. The second time around I tried a healthy coat of graphite lube and a rubber mallet and I was able to get it in.
Messed around with it again tonight for a little while and ended up breaking a welded nut on the left trailing arm. Got pissed off went inside.
