I have a fixing ticket to fix my modified exhaust and i have to bring it to a state referee...do anyone know what i have to do when i get there? Cuz i have an illegal swap in my car that won't pass SMOG and i already switch my exhaust to STOCK..do anyone know if i have to swap my whole motor out and SMOG it just for an modified exhuast check up? Any info will help and save me a lot of time...thanks

forget about the fixing ticket to be signed off, just pay the fine unless you want to put yourself into a worse situation from modified exhaust to illegal swap because they pop your hood whenever you go to state ref.

Just like fongph say just wait and they will send you a bill for how much.It all depend where you live around My area I got a ticket for my exhuast and it was 100 dallors.

Haha if i COULD pay for the fine..i WOULD've but that's not an option..I live around SACRAMENTO and the ticket say specially i have to take it to the STATE REFEREE for them to sign if off...and like i said..it's a FIXING ticket..so i have to have it FIX..

Just a Q's..they actually pop your hood when you go to STATE Referee? Cuz if that's the case..i'm a in a lot of trouble

What do you mean illegal swap? Stolen? Or do you just mean you have a swap?

What does your ticket say, word for word? If all it says is for a modified exhaust then just go there and take there test its free. They wont care you have a swap, unless if its stolen. If they check to see if its stolen (which i doubt they will) youll be in more **** then you ever imagined.

My car is B20b/vtec...which won't pass smog...If that's the case then hopefully all i needa do is let them test it without having them check my engine..but all my engine parts are not STOLEN what so ever.

They will check your motor to see where they need to rev to. Since its a frankenstien they will more then likely go with your head. I talked with someone who had an LS block with GSR head and they put the motor as GSR and revved it the same. If you have a B16 head theyll probably run it as a B16.

Sry bouts this again but i have another Q regarding this issue..my friend told me that all they need to do is test the sound of my muffler by putting some device in the muffler and revving it. But i have a hollow cat in my car..do you guys think it will pass the test with the hollow cat? or if it's better to just switch it to another one to be safe? Thanks for any info

depends which ref you go to, theres some cooler ones than others, but they will be checking your block.. pay the fine and avoid the ref trip.. if you can.. GL
